Last year was a difficult year to compete with at Lucid. With the release of powerful Lucid Suite capabilities, AI advancements, FedRAMP® authorization, and much more, we had a high bar to live up to.
But 2024 was no ordinary year at Lucid. Our teams were committed to building transformative capabilities and content that empower our customers to collaborate, align, and build with clarity and purpose. As we round off this year, we are confident that what we’ve created will propel our users into 2025 with greater strength and success.
So, before we jump into planning for the new year ahead, let’s take a moment to look back at what we’ve accomplished in 2024.
And remember, the best is always yet to come.
Solutions for Agile teams
We introduced several robust solutions to empower Agile teams—and all teams—to collaborate, align, and clarify work to be done to deliver value faster.
Here are some of the capabilities we launched to improve team-level coordination and program-level planning:
Jira and Azure DevOps integrations with dependency mapping
We updated our Jira integration and Azure DevOps integration to include dependency mapping and the ability to add these Lucid Cards to Dynamic Tables and Timelines.
Visualize dependencies with Lucid in real time directly from Jira and Azure DevOps. Any new dependencies created will bidirectionally sync so you no longer have to manually transfer plans over to either product. Hello, efficiency (and more engaging sprint planning sessions)!
Reporting shapes
Visually track your team’s progress and workload with data-backed reporting shapes. Create a workload tracker shape within a Dynamic Table, and create a progress bar shape within a Dynamic Table, Frame, or Timeline.
Private mode
Give your team members the safety to share their authentic ideas and feedback and to ask questions anonymously using private mode. Eliminate groupthink in ideation sessions by keeping sticky note authors and content hidden. At the end of the session, you can reveal the contents of sticky notes while keeping authors hidden to maintain privacy.
Agile estimation
This new capability helps teams quickly assess the effort associated with individual tasks using a poker-planning style approach. With a shape bank for story points or T-shirt sizes, each team member can privately add an estimation value below a card. Once everyone has chosen a value, view and discuss the results with your team and apply the agreed estimate to the Lucid Card or Jira Card.
In addition to these features, we released a new Agile Visualization badge that shows how to use Lucid to sustain the values of the Agile Manifesto.

Learn moreAn improved experience for teams
Lucid is built for collaboration—and that all starts with forming teams. We revamped our user experience so you can build a shared, collaborative space for your team with centralized resources via team hubs and team spaces.
When you create a team in Lucid, whether that’s a formally structured team or a cross-functional team working on a shared goal, you will get a team hub, where you’ll find your team space, team documents, and team members. Create documents that are automatically shared with the entire team, and pin a team space to act as your home base for team coordination.

Go nowContinued developments with AI
Throughout 2024, we continued to add new AI functionality into our products to help teams visualize and build faster. We released:
-
Generate a diagram with AI: Generate and iterate on diagrams using AI prompts. Simply type out a prompt, and within seconds, you have a diagram. You can even enhance your prompt with AI to generate a more sophisticated diagram from the start.
-
Mind maps + AI: Build comprehensive, dynamic mind maps in Lucidspark using the power of Collaborative AI.
-
Integrations with Copilot and Microsoft Graph: These integrations enable users to access and search all Lucid documents from Microsoft 365 products. The Lucid Copilot plugin provides users with Lucid data, allowing Copilot to easily find and retrieve Lucid documents.
Enterprise Shield
Our Enterprise Shield add-on adds an enhanced layer of fortified security and granular control to Lucid’s already highly secure platform. Admins can:
- Protect sensitive data.
- Control who has access to data.
- Enhance compliance.
Developer platform and integrations
We released 30+ integrations and enhanced our developer platform so teams can create more powerful, custom solutions that streamline workflows.
Dropbox Dash, Cisco, Zoom, Google, and Instructure were among some of our fantastic partners who built apps on our API.
