As an AWS Partner, Lucid helps customers optimize cloud costs, maintain compliance, and simplify migration efforts through cloud visualization. The Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite and the Cloud Accelerator are the perfect pairing for AWS users to understand their cloud architecture.
We are excited to announce that we are expanding our partnership with AWS by joining AWS’s ISV Accelerate Program. This program allows customers of AWS to consolidate billing and seamlessly integrate with Lucid for a cohesive experience.
In today’s complex cloud landscape, the bridge between technical documentation and strategic innovation is fragmented. The Lucid Suite solves this for AWS users by connecting the infrastructure lifecycle—from diagramming in Lucidchart to brainstorming and planning in Lucidspark—within a seamless ecosystem.
The Cloud Accelerator, an optional add-on for Enterprise users, takes this process further by connecting to AWS and automatically generating cloud diagrams. Additionally, you can customize diagrams for future state planning without losing data connections, share AWS imports with team members, and distribute the standard cloud design process with blueprints.
How the Lucid Suite helps AWS customers optimize their cloud
Lucid’s intelligent diagramming software, Lucidchart, provides AWS users with more than just a drawing canvas—it offers an intelligent workspace to manually architect complex cloud environments. By leveraging Lucidchart’s official AWS shape library, architects can design industry-standard diagrams that accurately reflect their infrastructure, ensuring clarity for stakeholders during migrations or new builds.
Teams can move faster by utilizing templates to map out their current state and overlay a future state using Lucidchart’s layering features. This capability allows engineering teams to visualize gaps, plan cloud migrations, and collaborate in real-time, ensuring stakeholders are aligned before code is written.
To bridge the gap between design and strategy, teams can utilize Lucid’s universal canvas to bring these technical blueprints into Lucidspark. This transition creates a collaborative, freeform environment where stakeholders can use sticky notes, voting tools, and rapid whiteboarding to brainstorm the "what-ifs" of cloud evolution. By moving seamlessly between detailed diagrams and creative ideation, teams ensure their future-state plans are both innovative and technically grounded.
Most powerfully, Lucid helps AWS users turn cloud architecture diagrams into strategic assets for cloud cost optimization. Users can tie metadata to specific AWS shapes to manage capacity and expenses. Teams can then utilize formulas and conditional formatting to flag resources that exceed budget thresholds in the diagram automatically. This capability allows companies to visualize their cloud footprint and actively manage costs through better cloud decision-making.

How the Cloud Accelerator simplifies cloud visualization
While Lucid's diagramming capabilities are excellent for planning and documenting current state environments, it can be challenging to keep the diagrams updated. This is where Lucid’s Cloud Accelerator add-on comes into play, designed to automate the heavy lifting of cloud visualization.
Instead of documenting cloud environments from scratch, teams can import data directly from AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. With this data, the Cloud Accelerator automatically generates up-to-date infrastructure diagrams and comprehensive asset inventories. This automation ensures that what you see on the canvas matches exactly what is running in your cloud, eliminating the risk of outdated documentation.
The Cloud Accelerator allows users to maintain control and customization, even with automation. Users can customize auto-generated layouts, add previously unmapped resources to specific accounts, and adjust visuals to fit their needs, all without breaking the underlying data connection. When it’s time to build something new, custom-created blueprints—sets of purpose-built templates—allow architects to jumpstart the design process, ensuring consistency and speed across the organization.

Purchase Lucid through AWS
As an AWS ISV Accelerate Partner, Lucid Software allows Enterprise customers to purchase the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite directly through the AWS Marketplace. Lucid’s solution on AWS offers organizations the ability to maximize their cloud spend.
Organizations with an AWS Private Pricing Addendum (PPA) can effectively utilize their budget that might otherwise go to waste by purchasing Lucid through the AWS Marketplace. Purchases made through AWS Marketplace contribute toward your AWS committed spend, helping you meet budget targets while acquiring visual collaboration software.
By purchasing through AWS, Lucid becomes part of your existing AWS invoice. This perk eliminates the need to onboard a new vendor, drastically reducing legal and procurement processes. You receive one consolidated invoice for your cloud infrastructure and your software tools, streamlining vendor management and payments.
A partnership built for success
This achievement reflects our demonstrated ability to drive value for organizations building on AWS. By bridging the gap between static planning and dynamic cloud data, we empower architects to build faster and finance teams to buy smarter.
