Every team needs a home base—a central place to come together to collaborate, find information, and share resources. This is especially true if your team is distributed, because alignment is even more essential for remote team members.
With Lucid, you can create a home base for your team thanks to team spaces. These are dedicated virtual spaces where you can host all the context and knowledge you need to initiate work. Lucid team spaces also enhance transparency into project progress and help centralize documentation. You’ll have everything you need, all in one place.

Why team spaces?
It’s difficult to do your best work when resources are scattered and people don’t know where to find something, or even who to ask. By using team spaces in Lucid, you make sure that team members can easily find what they need and streamline collaboration from start to finish.
How to get started with team spaces
To get started, all you have to do is link a team space board to your team hub. Create a team hub from your homepage in Lucid and add team members. Then, select a team space template (or create a space from scratch) and pin it so it appears at the top of your hub. Here’s an example:

Your team space will exist within your team hub, acting as the primary document where people can view updates, find information, and coordinate work.
Lucid has a variety of team space templates you can choose from that make it easy to put together a home base for your team. The specifics will depend on your team’s goals and needs, but in general, a team space will include a spot for the team’s resources and documentation, timelines or calendars, tasks to be done, and a team roster.
We’ll show a few examples to help you get started on creating a space for your team. Remember, each of these templates can be customized for your team’s unique needs.
Lucid’s team meeting templates
Multi-room Scrum team space
This multi-room template is perfect for Scrum teams who are remote or hybrid to come together during sprints. You can use this virtual Scrum room to host daily standups, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and more. A dedicated team space like this helps establish a sense of regularity as you make incremental progress toward your sprint goals. Because Lucid’s breakout boards feature can expand this space as needed, you can use this premium template for multiple purposes and Agile events.

New team space
Putting together a brand new team? The new team template is a great way to bring everyone on the same page and make sure that people have all the resources they need. In this team space template, you can create a team roster, establish a monthly calendar or Timeline for projects, and even create a central place for shout-outs and celebrations. There’s also a dedicated area for your team charter (also known as a team agreement) to make your team’s expectations clear.

Strategic planning team space
When you need to clearly define your goals and develop strategies to achieve those goals, use the strategic planning team space. This template helps you coordinate work, track progress, and keep everyone aligned. You can include an overview of your strategy, clearly defining your objectives, opportunities, and more. Link essential resources like task boards and project dashboards so everything you need for strategic planning is all in one place.

Project management team space
If you’re on a project management team, this team space is for you. Use the project management template to create a single source of truth for everyone. You can provide a project overview, link to essential resources, and view timelines in a single place. This template also includes a space for a weekly project sync so everyone’s aligned on action items, and you can create a team roster. Now it’s easier than ever to know who’s working on what at a glance.

Agile coordination team space
Need a central place to host meetings and resources for your Agile team? Use this template for an Agile team space that helps you coordinate work, increase transparency, and connect with each other.
