  • Lucid tips and updates
  • Ideation and planning

Facilitating a meeting can feel like a balancing act between making it fun and engaging, delivering the content in a digestible way, and keeping people focused, all while racing against the clock. Not to mention all the prep work that goes into making a meeting succeed.

To ensure you’re prepared and that your collaborative session runs as smoothly as possible, we’ve created a checklist of items to set up your Lucidspark board and your audience for success.

1. Check meeting permissions

Before your meeting starts, consider sharing the Lucispark board with attendees. There are so many ways to share in Lucid, including:

  • Sharable link

  • Email

  • Set a passcode and expiration (Enterprise only)

  • Join ID

You can also set permission levels for different stakeholders. From the Share button on your Lucidspark board, you can select can edit and share, can edit, can comment, or can view.  Setting specific permission levels allows you to keep control of your document while still relaying important information.

2. Leverage integrations

Make sure you’re sharing your boards where your colleagues will see them! Did you know that Lucidspark integrates with dozens of your favorite apps? With a few clicks, you can integrate with popular team software like Slack and Microsoft Teams to give quick updates. You can also connect to Asana or Smartsheet to easily plan and prioritize next steps after your project kickoff.

3. Add additional resources

Be sure to embed links for additional context to make the most of your meeting and prevent colleagues from wasting time searching for more information. This will make your board a central hub where all related information is. You can add links to files, Lucid documents, and other data with a few clicks.

Additionally, adding a video to your Lucidspark board is a great way to give additional context, verbally explain a process, and bring team members up to speed if they couldn’t attend the meeting. Video is also a great way for people to jump into the board and quickly refer back to the meeting topics.

Some of our most popular video integrations are:

4. Visual Activities

Want to start your meeting off with a fun icebreaker? Or, do you need to easily identify which projects to prioritize over the next sprint session? Add a visual activity to your Lucidspark board. Visual Activities quickly and effectively collect feedback, fuel alignment, and propel your team forward in an unbiased, data-driven way.
