With a shift toward work acceleration, an emphasis on AI transformation, the acquisition of airfocus, and more, it’s truly been a landmark year at Lucid. We couldn’t be more thrilled about what we’ve built this year and what’s coming next. There are many exciting developments in the works that we can’t wait to share with you. But before the ball drops on December 31, we want to take a moment and celebrate all we’ve accomplished in 2025.

Work acceleration

We aimed higher in 2025, turning our attention toward helping organizations accelerate their work, including large-scale transformations.

While we continue to embrace visual collaboration as core to what we offer as a company, we’ve extended that value by providing even deeper solutions to accelerate the major initiatives common to our customers, such as AI implementation, process improvement, and cloud optimization.

To accomplish this, we expanded our vision. Lucid is not just a visual collaboration or diagramming platform—Lucid is a powerful work acceleration platform. As part of this shift, we launched solutions that users can add to the Lucid Suite to support the most common transformations we see among our customers.

Process Accelerator

The Process Accelerator helps organizations in improving governance and standardization of their process documentation, storage, and maintenance. Create a single source of truth for documentation, streamline stakeholder review and approval, and facilitate faster creation of and updates to documentation, ultimately driving compliance, consistency, and efficiency.

Cloud Accelerator

The Cloud Accelerator enables teams to better understand and plan future changes to their cloud infrastructure. It helps customers speed up the cloud design process, scale diagramming and documentation, streamline audit artifact creation, and get a more complete picture of their cloud environment overall.

As part of our focus on helping organizations accelerate key initiatives, we couldn’t forget about the most important and disruptive initiative on everyone’s minds right now: AI.

We unveiled Lucid AI in October to empower teams to create and collaborate in new, efficient ways. MCP server

Lucid’s new MCP integration connects your Lucid documents to large language models (LLMs). This establishes a secure connection between Lucid and these AI tools to help you search forLucid documentation, fetch links to the documents, and provide summaries, streamlining your work within the LLM setting.

Lucid’s MCP server supports ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.

Welcome, airfocus!

One of the most significant parts of the year was our acquisition of airfocus, the AI-powered product management and roadmapping platform. Over the years, we’ve gotten many requests to provide a solution for roadmapping and product portfolio management. We explored some related features and even considered building a solution from scratch, but we felt that we could deliver a solution to customers more quickly by acquiring a well-established company in this space.

Enter: airfocus!

Together, Lucid and airfocus provide visual, custom solutions spanning the entire product development process, empowering organizations to build confidently. Now, after teams brainstorm in Lucid, they can create detailed product plans and roadmaps in airfocus. Product teams can seamlessly transition from strategy to ideation to reality, providing flexibility, adaptability, and a greater level of depth to their work—with a fraction of the effort.

We’re always creating new templates to kick-start work for our customers. In 2025, we built 59 new Lucidspark templates and 33 new Lucidchart templates, serving users of all types.

Lucidspark Fundamentals Badge: We’ve completely overhauled this badge with a new curriculum that is focused on top use cases. We’ve also restructured the course, now offering users the ability to earn mini badges in addition to the final badge.
Lucidchart Fundamentals Badge: We’ve mentioned this badge before, but it has undergone a complete redesign this year as well to make the format and material as helpful for our users as possible.
